WILD OAK POTTERY
I say I found pottery but in actuality, it found me. Before finding what would become a bit of an obsession, I worked a range of jobs including managing the California Beach Volleyball Association (CBVA), landscaping, and in a financial planning office. Though these jobs were interesting and even fun, they did not come close to the happiness I feel when making pottery.
Passed down from my mother, pottery fulfills my desire to create something useful AND beautiful. As I aim to make my pieces not just look pretty but also feel good in your hands, there is no greater compliment than when someone tells me they use "my" mug every morning!
I have lived in Ojai, California since 1993 and have been creating pottery since 2003. I can think of no better place to pursue and share my passion.

Kristen Clawson will be teaching a beginner to intermediate wheel throwing pottery class at the Ojai Pottery and Clay School Tuesday 10am - 1pm September 26th - December 5th
