Randy Meaney has been making things since she was a little kid.
“I am most authentically, deeply, truly happy when I am making things, or at least when when I am surrounded by materials to make things — beads, yarns, metals. These things are full of possibilities and they always inspire me.”
Her work bench is a delightful mess of colors and shapes and objects.
“I don’t really have a design process. I like to be I the middle of the mess and eventually by some magic the right materials find themselves next to other right materials and that reveals the design to me.”
She currently works with metals and beads, new and vintage, and pearls of all kinds. She also knits. And spins yarn. And just yesterday made some little faces from some polymer clay.
“The true joy is that tomorrow is another opportunity to play.”
