Kathleen Robertson is a professional violinist based in Ojai. Although trained classically from a young age, she is at home in a number of musical genres. Her credits include hundreds of recordings in the Los Angeles recording studios. Kathleen played on movie soundtracks such as Elemental, The Greatest Showman, Up in the Air, A Man Called Otto, and Finding Dory. She was the Concertmaster for the Pantages Theater in Hollywood for 20 years for shows such as Wicked, Hamilton and Lion King and has recorded/performed with Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Sting, Dave Matthews, Mary J. Blige, Annie Lennox, Elvis Costello, Burt Bacharach, Ray Charles, and many others. When she’s not on the stage or in the recording studios, she can be found teaching at her home studio in Ojai or leading the Ojai Chamber String Orchestra.

The theme of this year’s annual exhibition with the Ojai Studio Artists (OSA) is Metamorphosis.

All art is a metaphor. Life is an adventure into the unknown, and metamorphosis is an inevitable part of it. Transformations are constant and ongoing. Every person is constantly changing. As an artist’s life changes, their work typically also changes, in form, structure, or character. For this exhibition, artists were asked to depict a metamorphosis. It may be a transformation in their life, their work, or in the world around them. Through many styles and mediums, their work explores the quest for transformation.

The annual Ojai Studio Artists three-day October art tour features studios across the valley. This is a one-stop preview of work by all sixty-two participating artists.

The community-based group has been celebrating Ojai arts and offering scholarships to local students for more than 40 years.

  • Ojai’s world-renowned art tour back this October with more than 70 studios open to public.

Always a highlight of the Southern California arts calendar, the Ojai Studio Artists (OSA) is back Oct 11-13, 2025. The three-day “choose-your-own adventure” extravaganza delights collectors, decorators and the merely curious.

More than 70 artists will open their private spaces over the course of the long weekend in a tour that featured paintings, sculptures, fiber arts, collage, jewelry, glass, prints, mixed media and all manner of artworks, all experienced in a variety of intimate and idiosyncratic spaces by members of a community-based nonprofit devoted to celebrating Ojai arts.

Ticket holders received a program and map of participating studios, from backyard wonderlands within walking distance of the town arcade, to stone cabins nestled up Sulphur Mountain.
